The First Meeting of the Scientific Steering Committee held by the School of Medical Sciences

The First Meeting of the Scientific Steering Committee of the School of Medical Sciences at Zhengzhou University was held in Beijing on January 10th. Cao Xuetao, chairman of Scientific Steering Committee, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the president of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, professor Irene Ng, member of Scientific Steering Committee and director of State Key Laboratory of Liver Research at Hong Kong University, Prof. Pei Duanqing, dean of Guangzhou biological medicine and health research institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, vice president Gu Zhenqing, and Nick Lemmon, director of the school of medical sciences attended the meeting.

Appointment ceremony for members of the Scientific Steering Committee was held at the meeting, and vice president Gu Zhenqing awarded letters of appointment to three experts. Dean Nick Lemmon reported the development target and planning of the School of Medical Sciences to the Committee. Members of the Committee affirmed the preliminary achievement of the school and proposed the guiding opinions.

Scientific Steering Committee made academic evaluation and potential recognition for the 6 candidates of center directors selected in the interview by the school of medical sciences, and proposed suggestions for their specific positions.
