A First Phase Seminar held for the key research programme on the Root of Chinese Civilization

A First Phase Seminar was held for the University’s key research on the root of Chinese civilization on October 30 and 31.

More than 40 experts and scholars attended the meeting, including renowned researchers from Zhengzhou University and other universities in China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shandong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, and Shanxi Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology.

Vice president of ZZU delivered a speech at the seminar, during which he said that the University attached great importance to the research and hoped that its completion would be of high quality for the sake of deeper study on the Yellow River culture and Chinese civilization, the enhancement of the nation’s cultural self-confidence and construction of a strong cultural country.

Associate Dean of the College of Archaeology of Jilin University expressed the hope that ZZU and JLU would continue to enhance exchanges and cooperation in the field of archaeology, further promote their strategic partnership and make greater achievements.
