On the morning of March 13th, the signing and opening ceremony of medical cooperation between the Medical School of Zhengzhou University (ZZU) and the People's Government of Qiongzhong Li and Miao Minorities Autonomous County of Hainan Province was held in the auditorium of Qiongzhong County. Song Zhenghui, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZZU; Gu Zhenqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Work Committee of the Medical School; Liu Zhangsuo, Vice President of ZZU and Director of the First Affiliated Hospital to ZZU; Zhang Wei, Director of Medical Administrationand Hospital AuthorityBureau of Hainan Health Commission; Xu Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Qiongzhong County, and Wang Qionglong, Chief of the People's Government of the County attended the ceremony. Also in the ceremony are relevant functional departments of ZZU, Medical School, affiliated hospitals, as well as relevant units of the Party Committee and County Government of Qiongzhong County, and some selected experts.

Xu Bin said in his speech, Qiongzhongwill implement the agreements with high standards, innovate the cooperation mechanism, and actively construct the cooperation platform. With the help of the strong talent, technology and management of Medical School of ZZU, Qiongzhong Hospital will further make up foritsown weaknesses in medical and health care, and strive to become a well-known third-class hospital (the highest grade for Chinese hospitals) in the province and new model of cooperative medical service in Hainan Free Trade Port.

Gu Zhenqing also delivered a speech, in which he pointed out thatMedical School of ZZUwill dispatch outstanding and experienced professionals as director and executive director, to comprehensively strengthenandupgrade hospital management. In order to meet the medical needs of Qiongzhong County, all specialists in affiliated hospitals will integrateintoa high-level expert team to carry out new technologies and services to improve the medical level in Qiongzhong Hospital. Itwill realize the interconnection with the Affiliated Hospital of ZZU via the remote consultation system so as toimproveinformation construction and remote diagnosis and treatment.And a number of key specialties in the hospital will be built up to make itself a “medical height” in the central region of Hainan, to escort people’s lives and health in Hainan, and provide a strong guarantee for the development of health care industry.

Zhang Wei pointed out that the two sides hope to work closely together, further straighten out the cooperation mechanism, accelerate the full and effective integration of technology, equipment, facilities and human resources, enhance the technics, service and management in the hospital, andgainexperience worth learning for the medical reform work in the province.

Song Zhenghui and Xu Bin jointly unveiled the plaque of Qiongzhong Hospital of ZZU.

After the ceremony, Song Zhenghui and his delegation went to the People's Hospital of Qiongzhong County and visit the experts selected by ZZU. They also went to the elderly care service center, talents apartment project and Qiongzhong women football team for research and investigation.
