On March 27, led by Zhengzhou University and with Liu Jiongtian, vice Chairman and President of the CPPCC Provincial Committee as the project leader, the launch and implementation scheme proof meeting of the “ solid waste recycling” key project of the 13^thfive year national key research and development plan of the Central Plains urban agglomeration in the Yellow River basin was held in Zhengzhou University.

Zhong Ping, director of global environment department of China, Liu Jun, deputy director of Social Development Department of Henan science and technology department, and Zhao Mingfu, vice president of Zhengzhou University attended the meeting. Professor Zhang Yimin and other nine experts from Wuhan University of science and technology attended the meeting as implementation plan experts, and more than 60 major researchers from the undertaking and participating institutions attended the meeting.

In his speech, Zhao Mingfu assured that the university will provide all-round guarantee and support for the research and promotion of the project. Liu Jun from the social development office of Henan Provincial Development of science and technology fully affirmed the school’s management and scientific research capacity of Zhengzhou University, saying that the Provincial Department of science and technology will fully support Zhengzhou University to complete its research with high quality.

Liu Jiongtian made a detailed report on the overall implementation plan of the project from following aspects: project background and key issues, research objectives and project layout.

Later, the project leaders made a detailed report on the plan around the research objectives and assessment indicators, research content and technical route. After listening to the report, the experts at the meeting inquired and discussed the implementation plan at great length, affirmed the overall content setting, research methods and technical routs, and the work carried out, and unanimously approved the implementation plan of the project. Experts put forward constructive suggestions. In the end, Liu Jiongtian made it clear on behalf of the project team that they will fully take in the suggestions of experts’ and actively promote the follow-up work.
