Recently, Professor Yu Zujiang’s team from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University has made a new breakthrough in the field of diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. The clinical outcome paper has been published in Lancet, a top international medical journal, with the title of “Metagenomic next generation sequencing clinches diagnosis of leishmaniasis”. The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University is the first author unit and the corresponding author unit. Wang Chong, associate professor of Hematology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital and Dr. Li Ang, assistant researcher of Henan Genomics Hospital, and Shi Qingmiao, student of the Department of Infectious Diseases are the co-authors. Professor Yu Zujiang, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases is the corresponding author.
