ZZU
has accomplished great achievements in disciplinal construction.
According to the information from the State Education Ministry, in the
tenth national batch of doctoral program application, ZZU is authorized
to offer doctoral degree in 8 first-degree disciplines and 54
specialties. The 8 first-degree disciplines are science of history,
science of physics, science of chemistry, science and engineering of
materials, hydro¡ªproject, engineering and technique of chemistry,
science of basic medicine and science of clinical medicine. In the
application, ZZU ranks first among all the universities in the aspect of
the increase of the number of doctoral programs, and ranks first among
the local comprehensive universities selected into the national ¡°211
project¡± in terms of number of doctoral programs. Now, ZZU is entitled
to confer master¡¯s degrees in 212 programs and doctoral degrees in 72
programs. ZZU has rocketed into the top 25 universities of China with
respect to the number of doctoral programs, and has made giant strides
on the road to first-level universities in China.
