On
August 30, 2006, Prof. Francois Mathey, academician of French Academy of
science, came to Zhengzhou University starting to work here according to
the ¡°Memorandum of Cooperation Between Zhengzhou University and Prof.
Francois Mathey¡±, which was signed in September 2006 in Zhengzhou
University. This time Prof. Francois Mathey will stay in Zhengzhou
University for a month. His work mainly includes laboratory construction
and teaching graduate students. Prof. Francois Mathey will be teaching
graduate students twice a week and undergraduate students once a week,
and he will also deliver four academic reports.
Upon arrival Professor Francois Mathey
received warm welcome and kind reception from Zhengzhou University¡¯s
leaders, staff and students. He was met at the airport by Vice-President
of Zhengzhou University Mr. Xu Zhenlu. On a commission by President of
Zhengzhou University Prof. Shen Changyu, Mr. Xu Zhenlu gave a welcome
banquet in honour of Prof. Francois Mathey. Vice-President of ZZU Prof.
Chang Junbiao, and academician of Chinese Academy of Science Prof. Wu
Yangjie from Chemistry Department of ZZU as well as the leaders of
President¡¯s office, personnel office, scientific research office,
international exchange and cooperation office and chemistry department,
participated in this banquet. Professor Francois Mathey was very glad to
work in Zhengzhou University and expressed a gratitude for the good
working and living conditions.
