Recently, at the invitation of the internationally renowned botanical journal Trends in Plant Science （impact factor 14.0, ranking second among TOP5％ journals in the field of botany）, the research team of Li Fuguang from School of Agriculture of ZZU published a review article in the journal under the title “Gossypium Genomics: Trends, Scope, and Utilization for Cotton Improvement”, systematically summarized the progress of cotton genomics research, and discussed in detail the research direction and breeding strategy of cotton in the big data era. It provides important ideas and clues for the future scientific research of cotton biology.
