Recently, Prof. Yu Zujiang’s team from the First Affiliated Hospital of ZZU, working jointly with Xu Guowang’s team of the Institute of Chemical Chemistry of CAS and the team of Zhuang Zhengping’s team of American NIH, based on the accumulation of clinical experience in the past ten years, discovered that high ammonia participates in the progression of chronic acute liver failure (ACLF). Through multi-team collaborative innovation, it was revealed that the molecular mechanism of high ammonia promotes ACLF progress by regulating energy metabolism reprogramming, which is ed by further clinical trials. The research results were published in Advanced Science (IF=15.8) magazine. Prof. Yu Zujiang is the first author of the article, Dr. Li Jingjing, Dr. Ren Zhigang, Dr. Sun Ran, Department of Infectious Diseases, Affiliated Hospital, Dr. Zhou Yang, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, and Dr. Zhang Qi, First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University are co-first authors. Prof. Quan-cheng Kan from the First Affiliated Hospital of ZZU, Prof. Zhuang Zhengping from NIH of the United States and Prof. Xu Guowang from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS are co-corresponding authors.
