“Lecture Series by ASEAN and Chinese Ambassadors”Held at ZZU

On June 5, Thit Linn Ohn, ambassador of the Republic of Myanmar to China, and Chen Dehai, secretary general of the China-ASEAN Center, visited ZZU and held “Lecture Series by ASEAN and Chinese Ambassadors”.

Before the commencement of the lecture, Niu Shucheng, Secretary of the party committee of ZZU, and Vice President Han Guohe, met with the visitors.

Niu Shucheng introduced ZZU’s efforts to build a first-class university and the outstanding achievements scored by ZZU in recent years. He hoped to maintain extensive ties with Myanmar and other ASEAN countries in terms of talent training, scientific research and cultural and educational exchanges in the coming years.

Thit Linn Ohn spoke highly of the achievements made by ZZU in internationalizing higher education, and briefly introduced his visiting purpose. He hoped to take this opportunity to deepen ZZU students’ understanding of the relations between China and ASEAN, China and Myanmar, to enhance the friendship between China and Myanmar, and promote exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN, China and Myanmar in the field of higher education.

Subsequently, the “Lecture Series by ASEAN and Chinese Ambassadors” was held at the Law School, with more than 300 teachers and students, including some ASEAN overseas students, attending the lecture.

Thit Linn Ohn delivered a speech on the topic “China and ASEAN: a good-neighborly and friendly Strategic Partnership” and exchanged views with teachers and students present.(translator Zhang Shanming)
