On June 12, Sou Yuuki , president of the Shaolin Temple Boxing Group of Japan, led a delegation to visit ZZU. Zhu Dan, vice director of the Japanese Department of the Chinese People’s Association for Foreign Friendship, and Shi Yongqing, vice inspector of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Henan Provincial Party Committee, accompanied the delegation. Xu Dongsheng, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of ZZU, met with visitors.
Shi Yongqing fully affirmed and thanked Sou Yuuki and her father, Sou Doushin, for their massive useful work dedicated to the cause of Sino-Japanese friendship. He hoped that through this activity, the Japanese people would further deepen their understanding of Henan Province and foster the strength of Sino-Japanese folk friendship.
Xu Dongsheng noted that there stands a long history of friendship between ZZU and the Shaolin Temple Boxing Group of Japan. He expressed the hope that Shaolin Temple Boxing Group of Japan will continue to pay attention to and support the construction and development of ZZU in the future, give better play to the role of bridges and ties of cultural exchanges between China and Japan, and jointly make greater contributions to promoting friendship between the two countries.
In his speech, Sou Yuuki said that the Shaolin Temple Boxing Group of Japan has been engaged in friendly exchanges between China and Japan for 45 years, emphasizing the cultivation of young talents, and has carried out colorful and fruitful activities jointly with ZZU. In the future, they will, as always, promote more Japanese people to participate in Sino-Japanese friendly exchanges through cultural exchanges.
During this visit, the delegation also visited the Sou Doushin Library of School of International Studies.
