On June 26, Prof. Bruno Obler, Prof. Albert Merino-Saum from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, and Associate Professor Katharina Rehfeld of University of Business and International Studies, Geneva, visited ZZU. President Academician Liu Jiongtian and Vice President Han Guohe met with the guests.

Liu Jiongtian introduced the basic situation of ZZU and exchanged in-depth views with the delegation on the disciplinary development of mineral processing, clean energy and environmental protection, etc.

Prof. Obler introduced the purpose of their visit and put forward some suggestions on how to strengthen mutual cooperation in the future.

The appointment ceremony was held at the forum. Liu Jiongtian presented an appointment letter of visiting professorship to Prof. Obler.

Subsequently, a series of reports on “Sustainable Development and Green economy” were given by Prof. Obler, etc., who interacted with teachers and students after their lectures.

During this visit, Prof. Bruno Obler and his entourage also held discussions with Prof. Cao Yijun of Henan Province Industrial Technology Research Institute of Resources and Materials, Prof. Zhang Ruiqin of the Institute of Environmental Sciences ZZU, and Prof. Li JinKai of the Center for Energy, Environment and Economy Research, ZZU.
