Visit of Delegation of Young Students from Shorinji Kempo Group of Japan to ZZU

Recently, a delegation of young students from Shorinji Kempo Group of Japan visited ZZU. The welcoming ceremony was attended by Yuuki, president of the Shorinji Kempo Group of Japan, Kawashima Kazuhiro, head of the visiting delegation of the Shorinji Kempo Group of Japan, Yuan Mindao, director of the East Asian work Department of the National Association for Friendship with Foreign countries and secretary-general of the China-Japan Friendship Association. Fu Jing, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Henan Provincial CPC Committee and director of the Henan Peopleˊs Association for Friendship with Foreign countries, Niu Shucheng, secretary of Party Committee of ZZU, and Han Guohe, member of the Standing Committee of Party committee of ZZU and vice president of ZZU.

Niu Shucheng briefly introduced the basic situation of ZZU, and hoped that the Shorinji Kempo Group of Japan would continue to play its bridging role for cultural exchanges between China and Japan, and jointly promote the promotion of understanding and mutual trust between Chinese and Japanese youths.

Fu Jing said that Ms. So Yuuki and her father, Mr. So Dosin, have done a lot of work for the cause of Sino-Japanese friendship. Holding this exchange event will further enhance the mutual understanding between young friends of China and Japan, develop long-term friendship and foster the successor force of Sino-Japanese friendship.

Kawashima Kazuhiaro expressed the hope that through this visit, the Japanese youth will deepen their understanding of China, promote exchanges between the young people of China and Japan, understand and recognize each otherˊs values, and enhance the friendship between the Chinese and Japanese peoples.

After the welcoming ceremony, students of the Physical Education College of ZZU, members of the Japanese delegation and student representatives of Zhengzhou Middle School held martial arts and talent performances.

The delegation also discussed and exchanged views with the teachers and students of the Japanese Department of the School of International Studies on the theme of “Sino-Japanese Dietetic Culture”.
