Recently, the 2019 International Forum on Long-term Care for Chronic Diseases, sponsored by the School of Nursing and Health of ZZU, was held in Zhengzhou. Tian Changjun, health inspector of Henan Health Commission, and Gu Zhenqing, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of ZZU, attended the opening ceremony and respectively delivered a speech, joined by nursing experts and nursing professionals from many well-known universities at home and abroad.

In his speech, Gu Zhenqing pointed out that holding the forum will help improve the scientific research level of health care for chronic diseases and strengthen academic exchanges between nursing disciplines of ZZU and those of well-known universities at home and abroad.

He hoped that all the experts and representatives attending the meeting could share the latest scientific research achievements and information technology, and promote the development of nursing industry to a higher level.

Gu Zhenqing also issued a letter of appointment for visiting professors at ZZU to Patricia Davidson Dean, School of Nursing, Johns Hopkins University, USA, Vice Dean Nancy Reynolds, and Dean Sonja McIlfatrick, School of Nursing, University of Ulster, UK.
