From December 8th to 10th, the 10th International Symposium on the 21st Century Chinese Culture World Forum, hosted by China Yanhuang Culture Research Association, China Association For Promotion of Culture, Zhengzhou University and Vancouver Chinese Culture Center, was held in Zhengzhou.

Wang Zhengwei, vice chairman of CPPCC and president of China Association for Promotion of Culture, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Xu Guangchun, Chief Adviser of China Yanhuang Culture Research Association and former Secretary of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee, read the congratulatory letter from Xu Jialu, vice chairman of the ninth and tenth National Peopleˊs Congress and president of China Yanhuang Culture Research Association. Zhao Suping, member of the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee and Minister of Publicity Department, attended and spoke. Zhou Chunyan, vice chairman of Provincial CPPCC, Academician Liu Jiongtian, president of ZZU, and Vice President Han Guohe attended the meeting.

Experts and scholars from well-known scientific research institutions at home and abroad attended the symposium, including UNESCO, World Heritage Centre, Harvard University, St. Petersburg State University, Cairo University, Egypt, Nehru University, New Delhi, India, Istanbul University, Turkey, German Academy of Chinese Studies, Shimane University,Japan, Dongguk University, Korea, Beijing Normal University, China University of Political Science and Law, East China Normal University, Party Literature Research Center,China Yanhuang Culture Research Association, China Association For Promotion of Culture, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Cultural Heritage, Chinese National Academy of Arts, Guangming Daily, Henan Academy of Social Sciences and Zhengzhou University, etc.

Liu Jiongtian said in his speech that he hopes to take this meeting as an opportunity to invite experts and scholars to give guidance and help to the development of the discipline of history and culture of Central Plain,jointly contributing to the promotion of Chinese culture to the world!

Xu Guangchun, member of CASS, Liu Qingzhu, dean of School of History, ZZU, Wei Siqi, editor-in-chief of German Chinese Studies, Professor of Academy of Chinese Studies, and Liang Shu, editor-in-chief of Chinese Studies edition of Guangming Daily, respectively delivered keynote speeches. The keynote speech stage was hosted by Han Guohe.
