On April 8, Pan Wei, President of Soochow University （Taiwan）, and his entourage visited ZZU. President Academician Liu Jiongtian and Vice President Han Guohe met with the visiting guests, joined by chiefs of the relevant units of ZZU.

Liu Jiongtian briefly introduced the progress of building ZZU into a world-class university. He noted ZZU and Soochow University have a good foundation for cooperation, hoping that the two universities will continue to expand cooperation fields, strengthen exchanges and docking, carry out more pragmatic cooperation, and achieve win-win development.

Pan Wei-da introduced the history of Soochow University, the advantages of disciplines and the current situation of development of Soochow University in Taiwan. He hoped that both sides can complement each other’s advantages and constantly improve the quality of talent training and the level of discipline construction.

After the meeting, Liu and Pan signed an“Agreement of Students Communication and Cooperation between ZZU and Soochow University （Taiwan）”. Pan and his entourage went to School of Law, School of History, School of Chinese Language & Literature and School of Information Engineering to discuss the details of the cooperation.（translator Song Gencheng）
