From 20 to 25 May, the IKF U21 Asia Oceania Korfball Championship 2019 was held in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. Chinese Youth Korfball Team mostly composed of ZZU students, with Prof. Ma Xiangcheng, the School of Physical Education of ZZU （Main Campus）, as the head coach, played in the competition.

Chinese team defeated the teams of New Zealand, Hong Kong and Thailand in succession, and finally won the second place. In addition, Wei Qiufang won the title of MVP and Zhu Linpeng was voted onto the best team in Asia. Chinese Taipei claimed the championship and Hong Kong got the third place.

During the competition, Vice President Wu Hongyang came to greet ZZU teachers and students.
