On July 22, Final Challenge for Grand Prize of the 8th MathorCup College Mathematical Modeling Challenge was held in Beijing. Out of 387 colleges and universities across the country, eight teams nominated for Grand Prize stood out from the competition. The team composed of Dong Jiaming and Yu Yaping from the School of Physics and Engineering of ZZU won the special prize, setting the best record of results ever by colleges and universities in Henan Province. ZZU also won the Outstanding Organizational Unit Award, and Associate Professor Luo Ronghui and Dr. Tian Yongzhi from the School of Physical Engineering were awarded the title of Excellent Instructors.
