From November 17 to 18, the fourth （2018） International Symposium on New Media Public Communication and the Forum on promoting the Construction and Development of the first-class discipline of Journalism and Communication of ZZU were held on main campus.

Hu Zhengrong, editor-in-chief of China Education Television, convener of the Journalism and Communication subject Review Panel of the State Council and former president of the Communication University of China; Professor Ni Yanyuan, dean of the School of Communication, Mingchuan University of Taiwan, Professor Li Xigen, Chairman of the Department of Media and Communication, City University of Hong Kong, Prof. DONG Hee Shi, School of Media and Communication, Central University of Republic of Korea, experts and scholars from many universities and research institutions at home and abroad, as well as representatives of teachers and students attended the meeting. Li Xingcheng, Deputy Secretary of the party committee of ZZU, attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, and Zhao Minghao, Vice President, attended and spoke at the seminar on the construction and development of a first-class discipline in journalism and communication.

At the meeting, 15 experts, including Hu Zhengrong, Ni Yanyuan, Li Xigen, Zhu Chunyang, and Ke Yuechuan, delivered keynote speeches respectively.
