On April 17, Prof. Thomas Heberer, a senior professor of the Institute of East Asian Studies and Political Science of German University of Duisburg-Essen, a famous expert on Chinese issues in Germany, and the former Chairman of the German-Chinese Friendship Association, visited our university. Vice President Han Guohe met with visiting guests.

Vice President Han Guohe introduced the basic situation of the school. He hoped that Prof. Heberer could strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation with our school, and offer suggestions for the schoolˊs internationalization as well as the development of humanities and social sciences, thus building a bridge for cooperation between ZZU and European universities.

Prof. Heberer introduced his cooperation with the School of Journalism and Communication in terms of postgraduate training and exchanges of young scholars. He hoped to carry out substantive cooperation via the establishment of a ″German Research Center″ at ZZU. (translator Song Gencheng)
