Recently, Secretary Niu Shucheng led a delegation to visit universities in Tanzania and Zambia, and the related chiefs of units were in the entourage.

On July 3, in Tanzania, our delegation visited the Moshi Cooperative University. The two sides signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. On July 4th, the delegation listened to the basic introductions of the majors’ setup and disciplines’ construction of the relevant departments of the Moshi Cooperative University. The two sides discussed the fields and methods of cooperation.

On July 6, Niu and his entourage came to the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and met with President Prof. William A. l. Anangisye. The two sides reached an initial cooperation intention, agreeing to sign a cooperation framework agreement as soon as possible to develop a strategic partnership. The delegation also visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Dar es Salaam and introduced our admission policies to the teachers and students of the University of Dar es Salaam.

On July 7, the delegation visited the Zambia University Teaching Hospital—Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital, a China-aid-build, attended the symposium of the Chinese-funded enterprises organized by the Henan Chamber of Commerce and then visited the Zambian Engineering Bureau of Sinohydro Bureau 10.

On July 8, our delegation visited the Ministry of Higher Education in Zambia and was received by Ms. Nkandu Phoebe Luo, Minister of Education.

On July 9, our delegation visited the University of Zambia. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on relevant issues and agreed to sign the framework cooperation agreement as soon as possible. They also visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia and met with the heads of the relevant schools and departments of the University of Zambia.

Our delegation headed by Secreatary Niu came to the Chinese Embassy in Zambia and were warmly received by Ambassador Li Jie.

During the visit in Zambia, Niu and his entourage also met with Bowman Lusambo, Governor of Lusaka Province, Zambia.(translator Song Gencheng)
