Delegation Headed by School Party Secretary Niu Shucheng Visit Universities in Australia and New Zealand

From September 21 to 28, invited by Deakin University, Wollongong University and the University of Waikato, New Zealand, school party secretary Niu Shucheng, accompanied by comrades in charge of relevant units, led a delegation to visit Australia and New Zealand Universities for carrying out cooperation and exchanges.

On September 22, Secretary Niu and his party visited Deakin University and had a talk with executive Vice President Prof. Peter Hodgson and Prof. Alister Ward, Vice President of Medical College. Both sides exchanged ideas about students’ short-term communication as well as jointly training doctors and agreed to sign a protocol about jointly training doctors as soon as possible. Secretary Niu visited Deakin University Library, Medical College, 3D printing and materials research laboratories. In Medical College, Secretary Niu awarded a certificate of visiting professorship of ZZU to Prof.Duan Wei, a foreign adviser in oversea virtual institute and introduced talents-introducing policies of ZZU, wishing that more and more oversea high-level talents would join Zhengzhou university.

On September 25, Secretary Niu’s delegation visited University of Wollongong, receiving warm welcome from President Paul Wellings and Vice President Joe Chicharo. Secretary Niu noted that internationalization of school running is the inevitable course to build world-class universities, and hoped to further expand and deepen bilateral cooperation on the basis of previous 14-year cooperation. In the end, secretary Niu and President Paul Wellings signed a new cooperation agreement. At the University of Wollongong, ZZU delegation had four talks with the experts and scholars of the school, discussing further the joint training of doctors, and communication between faculty and students, as well as cooperative research in fields of engineering, medicine, financial accounting field.

On September 26, Secretary Niu visited University of Waikato, warmly welcomed by senior executive Vice President Alister Jones of the school. The two sides signed a cooperation agreement ″3+1+1″ in business studies. ZZU delegation also held two talks with the experts and scholars in the school, reaching a number of consensus on joint training of doctors, construction of financial internationalization class, student exchanges etc.
