On Nov. 12, during the state visit to Vietnam and in the handover ceremony of Sino-Vietnam Friendship Palace in Hanoi, President Xi Jinping， General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, cordially met with the representatives of both sides at the ninth conference of the Sino-Vietnam people’s forum. Li Xiaolin, Chairman of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Dun Junfeng, eｘecutive Vice Chairman of the Federation of Vietnam Friendship Organization attended the meeting.

During the conference, Zhang Shimei, member of Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the VCP, secretary of the Secretariat and Minister of the Mass Movement Department, met with the representatives of China and Vietnam.

Prof. Yu Xiangdong, Dean of the Institute of Marxism from ZZU and Director of the Institute of Vietnam, attended the conference. Prof. Yu, together with the delegates of both sides, was interviewed by General Secretary Xi Jinping during the completion and handover ceremony of the Sino-Vietnam Friendship Palace.(translator Song Gencheng)
