Our Academician Mai Songwei’s Research group from School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering made a major breakthrough in the field of Crystaline molecular function. The related fruit entitled “Hypersensitive dual-function luminescence switching of a silver-chalcogenolate cluster-based metal-organic framework” was published online on Nature Chemistry on February 13 of 2017, with an impact factor of 27.89.
With ZZU as its first author’s unit, Prof. Zang Shuangquan as corresponding author, this article was coauthored by doctoral candidate Huang Renwu and Dr. Wei Yongsheng from research group of Academician Mai Songwei.
The project has achieved the organic combination between two crystalline materials, silver-sulphur nano-clusters and metal organic framework for the first time. It enriches the family of metal organic framework materials, and lays a foundation for the development of precise assembly and application of silver-chalcogenolate cluster-based chemicals. After this work got published online, Nature Chemistry offered a feature introduction entitled “Fluorescent sensing in silver-cluster MOFs” with a big illustration.( translator Song Gencheng)
