On March 22, British Royal Society Academician, Prof. Peter Sadler from Chemistry Department of Warwick University and his wife visited ZZU. President Liu met with the guests. Xing Ying, Kan Quancheng and Han Guohe as university leaders, and some chiefs of related units also joined the meeting.

President Liu introduced ZZU’s history, disciplines features, and regional advantages, highlighting the progress of School of Medical Science’s internationalized school-running and overseas virtual institute. He wished the cooperation between ZZU and Prof. Sadler could be started in terms of chemical pharmacy, joint training of masters and doctors and other related fields, hence gradually elevating cooperation to the university level and promoting Sino-UK exchanges and communication.

For his part, Prof. Sadler introduced the general situation of Warwick University. He thought it very important to strength Sino-UK cooperation among students and scholars, expecting to enhancing mutual cooperation in terms of esophagus cancer drugs research.

At the end of meeting, President Liu awarded Prof. Sadler the certificate of appointment as ZZU visiting professor. Then, Prof. Sadler delivered a lecture at No.1 Affiliated Hospital.(translator Song Gencheng)
