On March 30, President of Indian Vellore Institute of Technology, Prof. Viswanathan visited ZZU, attending 2017 Cross-border E-commerce Conference, where he met with Vice Governor Shuqing of Henan Province and President Academician Liu Jiongtian joined the meeting.

Vice Governor Shuqing appreciated the continuing efforts of President Viswanathan in promoting Sino-India educational cooperation, especially of having established close and fruitful partnership with ZZU. He promised that Henan Government would coherently support the amity between two universities, expecting them to make new progress in cooperation.

President Viswanathan promised that after his return to India he would apply himself to promoting the establishment of sister-city relationship between Vellore and Zhengzhou, and sister-province relationship between Namil Nadu and Henan, as well as securing educational and cultural exchanges between two provinces.

The day before, Indian guests visited ZZU, met with President Liu Jiongtian and Vice President Han Guohe. Two sides held in-depth discussions over such topics as Confucius Institute cooperation, postgraduates’ short-term academic visit, and Joint doctoral training as well as exchanges of faculties.
