The other day, ZZU Mai Songwei’s research team made important progress in the field of Crystalline Molecular Materials. Its related result entitled “Unique Proton Dynamics in an Efficient MOF-Based Proton Conductor” was published today in J. Am. Chem. Soc. With impact factor of 13.038, with ZZU as the first-author unit, Doctor Wei Yongsheng as the first author, Prof. Zang Shuangquan from College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering as the sole corresponding author.
This research reported a kind of new metal organic framework material that contains a particular Proton hydrogen-bonded chain that shows great performance in proton conduction in both waterless and high humidity environment. What is more important, it discovered a rare process of monocrystal-to-monocrystal conversion process along with the transfer of protons. These fruits have laid a solid foundation for the follow-up in-depth research into new type proton conductor and sensing materials. (translator Song Gencheng)
