On May 19th, Zhengzhou University held the second annual international cultural festival. Xu Hengzhen, the director of Chinese Promotion Office of Department of Education in Henan Province, and Zhang Qianhong, Vice President of Zhengzhou University, attended this festival. International students of Zhengzhou University from 82 countries and regions, the overseas study tour from the University of Georgia, international students from Henan University and Henan University of Technology, and teachers and students from Zhengzhou University participated in the cultural exchange.

On the morning of May 19th, in the Boyue Corridor, the students dressed in traditional costumes, stood in front of their own exhibition hall,introducing Chinese students to their nation’s traditional customs, local conditions and scenic spots, etc. Alongside was the picture exhibition “Amorous Foreign Culture and Life of Studying Abroad”, which added brilliance to the festival’s splendor.

In the evening, both Chinese and foreign teachers and students had a big gala in Songyuan Round Square. Vice President Zhang Qianhong delivered a speech, saying that students from various countries got together in Zhengzhou University, showed their own local conditions and customs, and expressed good wishes for life and love of peace with their talent and wisdom. All the above have promoted Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges. She hoped that this activity would let Chinese and foreign students continue to deepen mutual trust and friendship, let the festival reflect the light of civilization and send out the fragrance of wisdom. In the get-together, students performed their national dances, and presented a traditional costume show. People on and off the stage had heated interactions. The wonderful show won warm applause from the audience.
