G. Viswanathan, President of Vellore Institute of Technology in India, and his group visited Zhengzhou University from March 1st to 3rd. Niu Shucheng, Party Secretary of Zhengzhou University, President Liu Jiongtian, Vice President Song Maoping met with the visiting guests.

Party Secretary Niu Shucheng expressed welcome to President Viswanathan. He hoped that the two universities would strengthen mutual visits and exchanges, and said that Zhengzhou University would provide more qualified teachers to support the development of the “Confucius Institute” jointly organized by the two universities. President Liu Jiongtian hoped that the “Confucius Institute” could be improved from the level of Chinese teaching to that of Chinese research.

President Viswanathan expressed his thanks for the warm reception, and briefly introduced the basic information of the Vellore Institute of Technology and the development and future planning of the “Confucius Institute” jointly organized by these two universities in India.
