Recently, Prof. Xu Qun and his team from School of Materials Science and Engineering of Zhengzhou University have made significant progress in the research of the preparation of two-dimensional amorphous materials and their plasmon resonance characteristics. The related achievement published online in the internationally renowned journal Angewandte Chemie International Edition is classified as VIP paper with Zhengzhou University as the sole author. Each year only less than 5% of the articles published in this journal can be classified as VIP papers.

The research has pioneered a new type of nanostructure construction and new biological nanometer detection devices preparation. With a bright prospect of application in the fields of solar energy utilization, medical imaging and single molecule detection and other fields, a national invention patent application has been submitted for the related achievements.
