Zhengzhou University Sends New Year Greetings to the Members of the 18th Foreign-Aid Medical Team to Zambia

On the eve of Spring Festival, Zhengzhou University sent New Year wishes to the members of the 18th Foreign-Aid Medical Team to Zambia.

The 18th Foreign-Aid Medical Team to Zambia consists of 28 members, 18 of whom come from No.1, No.3, and No.5 Affiliated Hospitals, School of Foreign Languages of Zhengzhou University. Headed by Vice Dean Prof.Gou Jianjun as captain from No.1 Affiliated Hospital, this medical team arrived in Zambia in April of 2016 to conduct one-year aid mission. Team members are providing their first-rate medical aid to Zambian people, and No.1 Affiliated Hospital has donated for the construction of a Telemedicine Center to help the local hospitals improve their medical service. Chinese Medical Team also actively assisted the aided hospital develop new technologies to fill their technical gap of medicine, trained the local medical staff, and donated medical materials, thus contributing greatly to the improvement of Zambia’s medical service and the health and welfare of Zambian people as well as the enlargement of the international impact of Zhengzhou University.

Mr. Yang Youming, China’s ambassador to Zambia fully affirmed the performance of Chinese Medical Corps, appraising highly the medical team from Zhengzhou University, wishing them to keep it up for providing first-rate medical services to Zambian people and strengthening Sino-Zambia friendship.(translator Song Gencheng)
