The unveiling ceremony of both Marshall Medicine Research Center and Marshall Hospital in Zhengzhou University were held in the fifth attached hospital of ZZU. Barry J. Marshall, winner of 2005 Nobel Prize in Medicine, Liu Jiongtian, the president of ZZU and the member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and the representatives of doctor and nurses in the fifth attached hospital of ZZU attended this ceremony.

Professor Liu, the president of ZZU made an address that the fifth attached hospital of ZZU would perform its duties on the base of the cooperation with professor Marshall in order to make contributions to the development of the medicine science of ZZU, making ZZU as the “double first-class” university as well as the protection of the massive health in society.

Professor Marshall also made an address that he would help the fifth attached hospital of ZZU establish the doctor team in the future cooperation to promote the scientific research and clinic application on the mechanism of disease caused by Helicobacter pylori on the base of the abundant digestion expert team of this hospital.

Professor Marshall and professor Liu unveiled the boards of both Marshall Medicine Research Center and Marshall Hospital of ZZU. Professor Liu issued the certificate for professor Marshall to appoint him as the head of both the center and the hospital.

Before the ceremony, Mr. Marshall saw the patients with Helicobacter pylori in the internet clinic office of the fifth attached hospital of ZZU.
