The representative of Deakin University, Australia, Prof. DUAN WEI from School of Medicine, visited Zhengzhou University on invitation to carry out consultations on the implementation of overseas Virtual Institute project. Vice President Han Guohe met with the visiting guests.

Mr. Han expressed that Zhengzhou University attaches great importance to the construction of overseas Virtual Institute and hoped that international academic exchanges and cooperation could be enhanced through this project; he said great efforts will be made to pioneer the cooperative project and get substantive results, making it model of the construction of overseas Virtual Institute of Zhengzhou University.

Subsequently, Prof. DUAN WEI conducted an in-depth communication with the relevant functional departments and persons in charge of related departments on specific issues of the implementation of the overseas Virtual Institute project. Both sides reached a consensus on cooperation in joint education for doctoral students in the project and agreed to accelerate the development of the project. After the meeting, DUAN WEI also conducted preliminary interview with three students recommended by School of Basic Medical Sciences.
