On September 18, it came on the first anniversary of Xiˊs proposal of a major national strategy for the Yellow River in Zhengzhou. The stage results communication meeting of Major Consulting and Research Project of the Chinese Academy of Engineering ”Research on the Ecological Environmental Protection and High-Quality Development Strategy of the Yellow River Basin” was held in the Yellow River Guest Hotel, which was organized by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and jointly undertaken by Zhengzhou University, the Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning, and the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydrｏpower Research. Former vice president academician Shen Guofang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, academician Wang Guangqian of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician Hao Jiming, academician Zhang Shougong, academician Hu Chunhong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, vice chairman of the CPPCC Of Henan Province and President Liu Jiongtian, vice secretary of the ZZU Party

Committee and vice President Wang Zongming, as well as more than 60 experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning, the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydrｏpower Research, Zhengzhou University, Tsinghua University and other units attended this meeting.

Academician Hao Jiming from the Chinese Academy of Engineering hosted the meeting. Each research group reported their project’s research results. The academicians and experts at the meeting conducted in-depth discussions on the project research results and put forward their specific opinions. They suggested that ecological protection, water resources regulation, flood control and security, culture and education, scientific and technological innovation, and industrial layout in the Yellow River Basin should be further strengthened. Meanwhile, coordinating to further comprehensive management of landscapes, forests, fields, lakes, grasses, sands, systematic management, source management promotes environmental protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
