Recently, the ”High-level Science and Technology Forum on Ecological Protection and High-quality Development of the Yellow River Basin” was held in Zhengzhou, which was hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology（hereinafter abbreviated as CAST） and jointly organized by the Henan Association for Science and Technology（（hereinafter abbreviated as HAST））, the Chinese Water Resources Society, and the Chinese Meteorological Society. The attendees were academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Li Zechun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xia Jun, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wang Jiayao and Wang Fuming, deputy director and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Yellow River Conservancy Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources, Su Maolin, director of the Henan Water Conservancy Department, Sun Yunfeng, member of the Party Committee of HAST and vice chairman of HAST, Deng Hongjun, deputy director of the Service Center of CAST, Li Fang, secretary-general of the Chinese Water Resources Society, Tang Xinhua, secretary-general of the Chinese Meteorological Society, Wang Jinxing, member of the Party Committee of ZZU and Vice President of ZZU, Qu Lingbo. More than 200 related scholars, experts, and functional units also attended this meeting.

At the meeting, Zhengzhou University signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chinese Water Resources Society, the Chinese Meteorological Society, and HSAT, which was planning to carry out comprehensive and multi-level cooperation in the field of environmental protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. The technical advantages of experts of the Chinese Water Resources Society and the Chinese Meteorological Society in the efficient utilization of water resources and ecological environment protection were brought into full play, promoting ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. Qu Lingbo signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of ZZU.
