From October 10th to 14th, the 7th Overseas Friendship Seminar （Overseas Chinese Leader Class） sponsored by the Federation of overseas Chinese of China and organized by Henan Federation of overseas Chinese and Zhengzhou University was held in Zhengzhou University. Fifty overseas Chinese leaders from twenty-seven countries and regions, including the United States, Britain, France, South Africa, Canada, Australia and Japan participated in the seminar.

Cheng Xueyuan, Member of Party Commission and Vice Chairman of the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Zhu Liu, Deputy Director of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese Friendship Liaison Department and First-level Inspector, and Wang Xiyun, Secretary and Chairman of the Henan Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, attended the relevant activities.

Song Zhenghui, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Zhengzhou University, met with Cheng Xueyuan and his entourage. Wang Zongmin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Zhengzhou University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

The seminar invited relevant leaders and experts from the China Overseas Chinese Association Liaison Department, Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and Zhengzhou University to give lectures. The courses covered Xi Jinping’s new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the situation of overseas Chinese in the epidemic era and the spread of Chinese culture, international and domestic economic development and countermeasures, Chinese studies and humanistic spirit, and the cultural spirit of the Central Plains. During the period, the trainees also went to Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, China （Henan） Free Trade Pilot Zone, Kaifeng and other places to conduct field investigations.
