On November 13th, Zhengzhou University and Queen Mary University of London, UK held a video conference.Steve Thornton, vice chancellor who is in charge of medical education at Queen Mary University of London, Irene Leigh, minister of International Exchange and Cooperation, vice chairman of the CPPCC of Henan Province, Liu Jiongtian, president of Zhengzhou University, Dong Zigang, vice president of Zhengzhou University, and academician Nick Lemoine, president of the Academy of Medical Sciences have attended the conference, and persons in charge from Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, Academy of Medical Sciences, International School have also attended the conference.
Liu Jiongtian spoke highly of the achievements from the two universities cooperation in scientific research and communications between teachers and students, hoping to combine the preponderant disciplines of the two universities, integrate Chinese-foreign educational philosophy and mode, and cultivate international and innovative medical talents required by the current world development through the sharing and complementing of high-quality educational resources.
The two sides looked back on their cooperation and exchanges over the past decade and discussed matters concerning the joint establishment of a cooperative school run by a non-independent medical legal person.
