Recently, Professor Chen Weihua's team at Zhengzhou University’s School of Chemistry has made significant progress in the design and performance of high-safety, high-energy-density sodium-ion battery separators, publishing an original research paper entitled “An Ultra-thin Nonporous Polymer Separator Regulates Na Transfer Toward Dendrite-free Sodium Storage Batteries” inAdvanced Materials, a leading international journal. The first authors are graduate students Li Xinle, Zhang Jiyu and Guo Xiaoniu, and the corresponding author is Professor Chen Weihua. The School of Chemistry, Zhengzhou University is the first author unit and the corresponding unit. Professor Dou Shixue, an academician of the Australian Academy of Sciences, has provided guidance to this work.

These studies have been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the International Training Program for High-level Talents in Henan Province, the Henan Provincial Science and Technology Department and Zhengzhou University.
