Recently, the Department of Reproductive Medicine and the Department of General Surgery of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University worked together to successfully perform laparoscopic ileostomy and ovarian tissue cryopreservation surgery on a 2-year-old girl suffering from Crohn's disease. This operation is the first fertility preservation operation for children with Crohn's disease in the central region of China, and it is also the youngest case of such operation in the central region.
