Recently, Professor Yuan Huijuan's team from Zhengzhou University People's Hospital have found a causal relationship between intestinal flora and DSPN, and have demonstrated a new strategy of microflora transplantation for DSPN through RCT research. The latest findings were published in the journal Cell Metabolism in an academic paper entitled “Gut microbiota modulate distal symmetric polyneuropathy in patients with diabetes”. Professor Yuan Huijuan, Professors Zhang Chenhong and Zhao Liping from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Professor Zhang Faming from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University are co-corresponding authors; Dr. Yang Junpeng and Master Yang Xueli from the People's Hospital of Zhengzhou University and Dr. Wu Guojun from Shanghai Jiao Tong University are co-first authors.
