In the first half of this year, the third edition of Encyclopedia of China was successively released to the public in online, paper, and foreign language versions. Eco-translatology, founded by Prof. Hu Gengshen of chool of International Studies of ZZU, was included for the first time as one of the three translation theories of China. According to the third edition of Encyclopedia of China, eco-translatology initiated in 2001 is not only an interdisciplinary study of ecology and translatology, but also a paradigm of eco-translatology,which comprehensively views and describes translation from the perspective of neo-ecologism.
