From May 2 to 5, Li Peng, President of Zhengzhou University (ZZU) and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a delegation to Singapore and Cambodia, visiting National University of Singapore (NUS), Duke-NUS Medical School, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore, Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and University of Cambodia. The delegation paid an official visit to Shen Ying, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senior State Minister of National Development of Singapore and Director of Business China, Cao Zhongming, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, and Gao Jinhong, Secretary-General of ASEAN. This visit is an important international exchange activity for ZZU to further develop the Year of Discipline Construction, with the main purpose of joining hands with world-class universities and scientific research institutions to promote greater openness in education.
