From August 9 to 11, the 10th International Conference on Hydraulic and Civil Engineering and Forum on Engineering Safety and Disaster Prevention, hosted by the School of Water Conservancy and Transportation and the National Key Laboratory of Tunnelerand Intelligent Operation and Maintenance of Zhengzhou University, was held in Zhengzhou. Attendees included academician Hu Ya’an, Zhang Zongliang, and Liu Hanlong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, academician Wang Fuming of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the Yellow River Laboratory (Henan), Professor of Zhengzhou University, Hu Shaowei, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Zhengzhou University, as well as over 200 delegates from more than 40 universities and research institutions around the world. They gathered to share their insights on the latest research progress in the field of engineering safety and disaster prevention and mitigation.
