The Second China (Henan)-ASEAN International Academic Symposium recently took place in Zhengzhou. It was co-organized by the ASEAN Research Institute, the School of History, and the China Overseas Chinese Research Center (Henan) of ZZU. Over 80 experts and scholars from more than 10 countries and regions attended the conference, including representatives from ASEAN member states, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan, as well as over 20 domestic universities and research institutions, such as Peking University, Xiamen University, and Jinan University. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions around three main themes: “China-ASEAN Relations”, “Research on the History and Current Status of Southeast Asia” and “Overseas Chinese”. This conference successfully promoted academic exchange and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, fostering regional development. It also demonstrated ZZU’s strength in academic research and international exchange.
