In order to implement the strategy of talents empowering our school, vigorously promoting the construction of first-class university, Global Talents Introduction Pitch Meeting and International Forum for ZZU Young Scholars are held in ZZU from Dec. 16 to 17.

On the morning of Dec.16, Global Talents Introduction Pitch Meeting was held in the No.2 Conference Hall of Complex Management Center. Attendance at the conference were Xu Jichao, Vice Governor of Henan Province, Xiu Zhenhuan, Vice Minister of organization department of Provincial Party committee, school leaders Niu Shucheng, Liu Jiongtian, Guan Shaokang, Wu Hongyang, and Academician Nicholas Robert Lemoine, Dean of Academy of Medical Science, joining 119 young scholars and representatives of teachers and students.

Prof. Nicholas Robert Lemoine, Dean of Dean of Academy of Medical Science, Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering introduced the general development of Academy of Medical Science as of its founding, and wished more and more excellent young scholars could join ZZU and Academy of Medical Science.

Following the pitch meeting, 2017International Forum for ZZU Young Scholars was held. President Liu Jiongtian made a key-note speech entitled “Synthesis of University, Features of Disciplines and Modernity of Administration”, introducing the construction of first-class ZZU.

During two-day forum, three sessions respectively on resources materials, tumor treatment and prevention & translational medicine, and green catalysis were also held. On the sessions, young scholars made remarkable reports to probe into academic issues in related fields, sharing valuable research fruits and experience. They also made visits and exchanged opinions to further know about ZZU’s school-running status and discussed the possibilities and intentions of cooperation.(translator Song Gencheng)
