On October 20th, sponsored by Henan Provincial Commerce Department, the Peopleˊs Government of Zhengzhou, Zhengzhou University and Henan Higher Education E-business Teaching Committee, and hosted by Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, School of Management Engineering of ZZU, Henan Institute of E-business and Logistics and Zhengzhou Cross-border E-business Training and Incubation Base, the 4th International Seminar on Collaborative Innovation and Development of E-business and Logistics was held in the main campus.

The seminar was based on the theme of “New Era, New E-business and New Logistics”. Long Yongtu, Co-Chairman of Global CEO Development Conference and Chairman of CCG, Long Guoqiang, Deputy Director of Development Research Center of the State Council, Gao Xiang, Deputy Director of Henan Provincial Commerce Department, Xu Ping, President of Henan Bonded Logistics Center, Zhang Jianjun, Deputy Dean of CIECC Research Institute, Rashmi Banga, Senior Economist of UNCTAD, Oonagh McDonald, former British MP and former Financial Services Authority Board member, and ZZU President Academician Liu Jiongtian attended the seminar. Over 700 people participated in the seminar, including experts and scholars from the UK, Switzerland, India, Pakistan, Mali, Philippines, Bangladesh and other countries,and representatives from more than 50 universities, research institutions and enterprises in China. The opening ceremony was presided over by vice president Guan Shaokang.

Liu Jiongtian said that ZZU has seized the development opportunities of ”Internet +” and ”One Belt, One Road”, fully utilized the cooperation platform of school, government, enterprise and association, continuously deepened and expanded the research on the collaborative development of E-business and logistics, and established the first EWTO. ZZU will bring together high-end resources such as government, think tanks and universities to build a research center with important international influence and a high-end talent training base, supporting the construction of EWTO core function clusters and services and promoting the prosperity and development of E-international business.

In his speech, Gao Xiang hopes to take this meeting as an opportunity to make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of foreign trade in Henan Province with the help of domestic and foreign experts.

Subsequently, Liu Jiongtian respectively awarded Long Yongtu, Xu Ping and Banga the honorary president of EWTO College of ZZU, the dean of EWTO College and the part-time professor.

Long Yongtu and Long Guoqiang made special reports respectively.

During the conference, Zhengzhou E-business Lecture Hall and the nationally known special sharing meeting for cross-border e-business sellers from Henan Province were held.
