Recently, “Research and Design Approaches of Damage-Controllable Auto-recovery Shock Absorption Structure”, a National Key Research Plan and Intergovernmental International Innovation of Science and Technology Cooperation Project by Prof. Zhao Jun, from School of Mechanics and Engineering Science of Zhengzhou University, in joint efforts with Japanese Kobe University, was approved by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), supported with a special fund of 2,520,000 RMB.
Up to now, the year of 2016 has seen Henan Province’s 4 inter-governmental International Innovation of Science and Technology Cooperation Projects approved by MOST or enter the stage of budgetary evaluation, 3 of which go to Zhengzhou University alone. The other two projects are “Research of High-performance Deep Ultraviolet Laser Based on Nitride Semi-conductor”, by Prof. Liu Yuhuai from School of Information Engineering, jointly working with Japanese Nagoya University, allocated with a special fund of 4,579,200 RMB, and “Metal-Catalyzed C-H Bond Functionalization Reaction Research” by Prof. Cui Xiuling from College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, in cooperation with Lisbon University, which has entered the stage of budgetary evaluation.(translator Song Gencheng)
