Recently, American Welding Association held an annual meeting in Atlanta to reward individuals and foundations that have made outstanding contributions in the field of welding in 2017. Professor Liu Zhongxia’s team from School of Physics and Engineering of ZZU was awarded the annual Davis Award by American Welding Association for the outstanding contribution in the field of maintenance and surfacing.
Prof. Liu Zhongxia and Dr. Pei-Chung Wang from General Motors began to study ultrasonic welding of carbon fiber reinforced nylon composite materials in 2016. They are committed to quality evaluation, quality control, defect detection and defect repair of ultrasonic welded joints. Related research results have been published in the Journal of Welding Journal, Welding In The World, Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering, etc.（translator Yang Qiuqiu）
