Recently, the plant insect interaction team of School of Agricultural Sciences of ZZU has made progress in the research of sex determination of Helicoverpa armigera. The paper entitled “Characterization of the First W-unique Protein Coding Gene for Gender Determination in Helicoverpa armigera” was published online in frontier in genetics. ZZU is the first completion unit, and Deng Zhongyuan is the first author. This work has been supported by ZZU postdoctoral initiation fund and other projects.
