Recently, the results of the special competition for “research on new principles and new technology for the preparation of high-efficiency spherical titanium alloy powder” in the 17th “Challenge Cup” were announced. “Preparation of high-performance spherical TC4 powder based on spray granulation and plasma spheroidization” by Qiao Shi, Fu Zhenhua, Zhang Qinglei, Li Jing, Hou Xuchu, Chen Yuhui, and Wang Dongxiang, the students ofSchool of Materials Science and Engineering of Zhengzhou University, won the national top prize through the qualification review, preliminary evaluation and re-evaluation by the topic selection evaluation committee. Their innovative work was completed under the guidance of Shu Yongchun and Hao Zhenhua, members of the research team led by Academician He Jilin in School of Materials Science and Engineering of ZZU.
